Responsible Play

Our Responsible Play Program is integrated into every aspect of Lotto.com.

The program provides a safe environment for our patrons to enjoy lottery games as a form of entertainment and complies with all state and local laws and regulations. The program includes policies designed to prevent and reduce potential issues associated with online activities, while offering tools and resources to encourage healthy behaviors.

If you think you or someone you know has a gambling problem, help is available in New Jersey 24 hours a day: Call 1-800-GAMBLER®.

If you play the Lottery, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Money needed for daily expenses should not be used for playing the Lottery

  • Set a limit. Don't chase your losses and risk getting deeper into a hole

  • Set some winnings aside for other purposes

  • Winning and losing are both part of playing the Lottery and other gaming activities. If you're only prepared to win, you're not prepared to play the Lottery

  • Playing the Lottery is a recreational activity and not an alternative to work

Common Lottery Myths:

  • You get nothing for your lottery purchase if you don’t win a prize, and since there are relatively few winners, hardly anyone actually benefits from the lottery

  • The lottery makes and keeps all the money

  • If lottery sales are allowed on the internet, compulsive and underage gambling will rise

  • There is no assurance that lottery drawings are conducted fairly
